Why don't they put toys in cereal anymore, or coupons in cat food?

OK, I no longer play with toys, but I sometimes buy kiddee cereals. I noticed rarely do cereals have those little toys in them anymore? I guess with our ultra-careful society today, we're worried about kidlets choking. Somehow in the 80's we played with toys painted with lead paint, ate cereal with toys in the box, and I don't remember any kids ingesting those toys with magnets either. No one made a big deal out of this stuff. Maybe kids today are born dumber because of the pollution in the atmosphere, so extra precautions need to be made. I think it's a sign of economic woes - companies cutting costs wherever they can - no toys in cereal, no cat food coupons in the bag. Sad times.Why don't they put toys in cereal anymore, or coupons in cat food?
Yea, well i miss those old toys in the cereal boxes. Yea i think that the cereal companies are getting cheeper. Soon we might even be having cereal that only comes from CHINA.... heheWhy don't they put toys in cereal anymore, or coupons in cat food?
i think your right the people of the 21st century are so dumb that they have to put on everything (do not eat this) when its a pack of glue or something or you get someone trips over and sues someone else for there own mistake and stuff like that

They still put toys in cereal boxes I just bought a box of cereal that had a figurine in it from a movie. As far as the cat food I dont really know the answer to that. Now a days because of the internet you can get your coupons online.
I get coupons in cat foods.
I still find coupons in cat food sometimes.

Yes it seems like the only things you can get are toys that you have to send away for plus send money and UPC codes. That sucks what kid wants to wait for a crappy little toy when they could just open the box of cereal and be surprised. Bummer





But I also buy purina cat food and they usually have coupons in the bag. It might just be the kitty kind though.
They put cat food coupon and sometimes cat treat samples in cat litter containers- the big plastic bucket ones. I don't know why. As for no toys in cereal, that's just an abomination. I really enjoyed the prizes when I was a kid.
they do but its not really toys any more i just bought chrrios the other day and it was a book inside instead of a toy!
I miss those niceties too. I have a feeling some dumb parents were letting their kids choke on the toys included in the cereal.





Have you seen Cracker Jack toys lately? Pathetic. I remember little figures you snapped out and assembled, little cars and telescopes and the like. Now it's all paper. Nothing 3D.
amen. there were times when i didn't even eat the cereal....my mom would get so pissed off
instead of toys, now you can get stickers and removeable tattoos.....or you can cut a toy off the back of the box or play a maze....yeah pretty lame stuff. however, purina gives away free dog bones (big, nice ones) in their bags of beneful. It was a pleasant surprise for the dog at least, lol.
